Turn it in on time. (This is not rocket science, but rocket scientists have to do their work and turn it in on time, too.) I give you the work that is necessary to master the subject. Write your assignments in your planner. Most assignments will be posted online.
Turn in all of your work. If you don’t turn it in, you will not receive credit for it. Do not throw it on my desk! I will lose it! If something is listed in the portal as “missing”, it calculates as a zero in your average. That’s not good! Here’s what you should do, as soon as possible:
Complete the assignment, and do a good job. (See me during lunch if you have questions about the assignment.)
Come at lunch when you’ve finished, and show it to me in person.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You can’t just submit late work in Google Classroom or hand me a paper copy of the assignment--you may not get the credit for it. Please bring in your work during lunch in person.
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get (handouts will be available online in Google Classroom ) and make up your work (I won’t chase you for it); but if you have questions, I am happy to help you during lunch or after school.
Check your grades using your student portal account at least once a week. Grades are posted in Aeries and are updated every other week.
Cheating Students who cheat on any assignment, project, quiz, or exam will automatically receive a zero as a grade with no chance of making it up. Cheating is defined as any student who copies another student’s work, turning in work not of their own, using notes during a quiz, or exam (without teacher’s permission), and talking or communicating answers to another student. Parent/guardian and vice principal will be notified.
If you wait until the last week of the quarter/semester to try to turn in your work, read this:
I don't give extra credit.
The work in my class is hard enough. Believe me!
Do what I state above and you will get a good grade.
If you cannot get a good grade doing the above, or if you are missing several assignments, extra credit isn't going to help.
